Virtual and Online Courses

We deploy multiple training formats with customized programs to build a successful learning experience, including virtual and online training. These solutions allow for greater customization and scale up the reach out of participants. Also, personalized assistance is guaranteed with the program office supporting access and utilization of contents and distance tutoring from the faculty to sustain the individual and group-based learning with simulation activities.
   
GSDH Education learning management system developed a customized eLearning platform to provide the highest level in quality and flexibility of educational tracks.
 
Virtual Training
Virtual programs are real-time, synchronous, online lectures. Content is delivered through live video sessions combined with interactive activities, like video tutorials, case studies and simulations of real decision-making situation. GSD faculty interacts with students throughout the virtual training in real-time to engage the participants and enhance their knowledge, skills and know-how.
   
Online training
Online programs consist of a MOOC video, namely, asynchronous learning happening through recorded video-classes. Participants can attend classes according to their agenda at any time. Distance monitoring of the E-learning platform guarantees the access and fruition of the contents. MOOC videos are combined with interactive activities like tutorial videos, simulations, and blended virtual live sessions with our faculty. Learning is high-touch and personalized, with the tutors' remote support.
   
Webinars and live surgery: breakthrough innovation
GSD group is always on the top-edge of research and innovation with new therapeutical opportunities and surgical techniques, and the use of the most advance device and technologies. Webinars are the best format to share and scale-up such innovations and hot topics.
   
We provide customized webinars and live surgery with real-time broadcasting from our operating rooms. Thanks to today's technologies, live transmission of surgery allows a virtual experience and the professionals' engagement directly on the hands-practice, with the opportunities to discuss real-time decision-making with surgical practices.

Customized Courses

We provide tailored training programs, focusing on health organizations' needs in the clinical and surgical specialties and healthcare management, quality and safety, and leadership.
 
Our courses adopt innovative methods to boost the learning experience of qualified professionals. The theoretical knowledge and updates are combined with hands-on training sessions, case-based methods, simulation and field-project developments, which directly engage the faculty and participants, and promote reflexive learning in daily practice.
   
Clinical and Surgical Courses
Our courses are designed upon our participant's needs, deploying theoretical learning, Evidence-Based Medicine, onsite hands-on training, and distance learning with live broadcasting. The learning experience relies on real cases discussions through a structured case-based approach applied in executive training.
 
Courses are managed by the international top-ranked professors of GSD and San Raffaele University. Courses can last from 2 to 3 days based on local needs and facilities (i.e. simulation rooms, cadaver lab).
 
A tailored need assessment with local doctors is performed to design the program and identify the techniques and technologies to target.
 
Our Teaching Methods involve face-to-face lectures, interactive case-based discussions, live surgeries – happening onsite or broadcasted from our hospitals in Milan, Wet Lab with biological samples (animal), Dry Lab with artificial models, virtual reality simulations, practical exercises, training on cadavers.
   
Executive Program in Hospital Management
Our "Hospital Management" program is a unique experience of executive education offered to the Gulf Region. It exploits healthcare management's long-term experience with two top-ranked international institutions: the SDA Bocconi School of Management and the San Donato Hospital Group (GSD).
 
The program is made up of five modules that include three days of face-to-face training, plus workshops onsite and an individual field project.

Immersion Training Programs

GSD Healthcare welcomes graduated and specialized doctors to join the onsite learning experience in Italy. Our DNA is to share and exchange knowledge with all medical professionals worldwide and invite them to discover GSD approach to excellency and patient-centered care.
 
Observership and Practical internship programs at our hospitals are designed to offer a unique experience. We build with the professionals a personalized learning program and assign a personal tutor to any participant. Professionals directly observe and participate in daily activities with the local team and supervised by experienced professionals or university professors.
 
The programs are in English, and the duration can range on individual needs. The minimum length is one month for internship programs, while we offer specialized training up to 1- or 2-years

Observership
The Observership is an experience where healthcare professionals can observe colleagues in daily practice and care for patients and their families. This approach allows the participant to gain the required experience and knowledge through observation and direct interaction with a personal tutor.

Practical Internship
The practical internship program allows graduate physicians to practice during the training programs at our hospitals.
 
With the practical internship program, participants can acquire technical skills and experience in the latest technologies and procedures. Participants are also invited to join research programs and have a chance to take part in future innovations.
Participants can engage our teams in the specialties selected and practice on patients under the supervision of their tutor.
 
GSD Healthcare office provides administrative support to participants to obtain visa, government authorizations, insurance, and registration to the royal college.
Although most of our patients come from Italy, our doors are increasingly open for patients from all over the world.

Student Exchange

GSD is welcome to increase its international academic network by partnering with universities to provide joint student exchange programs. We are looking to develop academic and educational cooperation in Higher Education based on mutual understanding and mutual benefit.
 
We strongly believe that international exposure is a core experience for the professional development of our students.
 
The Vita-Salute San Raffaele University is a private non-profit university in Milan, Italy, and is characterized by a strong integration of teaching and research. Faculties rely on integrated model across undergraduate and postgraduate education, research centers, doctoral schools and master programs. Students looking to obtain an MD Degree from the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University can apply directly to the International MD Program in English since the first year, or they can through a partner university to obtain the graduate certificate after the completion of three years (medical sciences graduate program) at the partner university.
Through joint degree programs, the student receives the MD graduation diploma from both Universities.

Vita-Salute San Raffaele University is extremely active in research, with more than 2200 papers published each year and a total impact factor of 8.048.
Our commitment to enhancing the clinical practice is proven by more than 700 ongoing clinical trials and more than 300 new study proposals submitted to the Ethical Committee of San Raffaele University and Research hospital every year.
   
These metrics rank San Raffaele University and Research hospital as one of the leading biomedical research institutes in Europe.

Our model relies on translational research with the interconnection of the research and clinical practice, developed by academics, researchers, and professionals involved daily in clinical activity.

GSD Healthcare is willing to develop joint research programs with partner universities and centres worldwide to share its research centre's capabilities and financing from international grants.
